Tatton Park

We spent far more time than planned in Tatton Park in Cheshire, and wish we could have stayed longer. The gardens comprise 50 acres, and we spent all our time wandering through them as they had electric buggies available for loan. Of all the places we visited, Tatton Park was the best prepared to accomodate the disabled. The gardens ranged from a large topiary to a small rose garden with tea/viewing room overlooking it. The kitchen garden was huge and the scarecrows quite inventive. (The produce is used in the on-site cafeteria which produced a delicious meal.) The Japanese garden was outstanding. In fact, we never got around to visiting the house.
